Lee graduated with a first class honours degree in Biochemistry from Cardiff University where he was awarded the prize for outstanding academic performance in his year. He went on to complete a PhD and post-doctoral research at the same institute in the field of developmental genetics. He joined Symbiosis in 2011.
He handles a broad range of technologies in the Life Sciences including medical devices, biomarkers, gene therapy, anti-infectives, wound healing and stem cells. Lee primarily works on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the UK, Europe and around the world. He has also been involved in several due diligence projects, including those commissioned in relation to potential acquisitions.
He has experience working for individual inventors, academic institutions and also several small and medium size companies. Lee is regularly invited to give talks on the subject of Intellectual Property and so is comfortable adapting and tailoring his advice to suit client needs.
